Best Household Cleaning Tips
One of the most obvious places to notice dirt in the home is in the bathroom. It is human nature to look into the mirror as we wash our hands. A dirty bathroom mirror reflects badly on the homeowner, so don’t let your visitors get the wrong impression. Bathroom hygiene is even more vital to business premises. Follow some simple guidelines to keep your bathroom and your entire home spotless, gleaming, hygienic and attractive.
1. Glass cleaner in a spray bottle is ideal for removing water marks and other spots from bathroom mirrors. Spray it on and then wipe it off quickly with a paper towel or a soft cloth. This should remove all visible debris in a matter of seconds.
2. You can carry on using this same cloth or towel to wipe down the sink and taps. The glass cleaner that you wiped from the mirror will be enough to get rid of all but the toughest dirt from the washbasin. If there are no such trouble spots, it should again take just moments to give the sink a quick clean.
3. The next step in the bathroom sanitation process can also be achieved with the same cloth. Use the towel to wipe over the top edge of your bathtub. Move on to the toilet and wipe across the seat and rim. These bathroom cleaning actions should be over in a minute.
4. Check the toilet bowl. If there is a visible ring, use the toilet brush to scrub it away. After 30 seconds the ring should have disappeared. A ring that has been left too long unattended will prove harder to remove and the clear-up will take up more time.
5. Shower screens, doors or curtains can all benefit from the application of an appropriate spray cleaner on a daily basis. Use a clean, dry washcloth to wipe these surfaces down after spraying on the cleanser. Spending just a minute a day in this way will dramatically reduce the potential build-up of soap scum in the shower cubicle.
6. General home cleaning will be easier and quicker if you make yourself a cleaning checklist of everyday household chores and cross them off as you do them. Assign specific tasks to each member of the family.
7. On the night before your waste collection it is a good idea to check over the contents of the fridge. Look at the ‘best-before’ dates on everything in the refrigerator and throw away anything that is out of date. When you have tossed all unwanted food into the outside bin (doing this just before the bin is emptied will stop smells from developing) you can wipe down the interior of the fridge with a safe and sanitary cleaner. Use a bleach-based house cleaner to disinfect the external bin as soon as it has been emptied.
8. Get the entire household involved in a regular domestic cleaning routine. They all enjoy the benefits of a clean home, so why should they not all help out in keeping the house tidy? Share out the chores and no one will have too much to do.
There is a multitude of expert advice available in magazines and online to assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary home. The simplest ideas are often the best. Time-saving house cleaning tips do not come much more basic than the recommendation to cut tasks down to size by getting into the habit of tidying- up and cleaning as you go. Begin your regular home cleaning routine as soon as you wake by making the bed and then loading-up the washing machine before breakfast. This will cut down your load significantly in the long term.
